Wrinkles are unfortunately the most common sign of ageing; they are the folds or creases on your skin and typically appear on areas of the body that have more exposure to the sun. Over time these frequent movements together with environmental impacts such as sun exposure and pollution can cause lines and wrinkles to form in a more permanent way. The main cause of wrinkles as we get older is the reduction of elastin and collagen in our skin
XO offers two of the most popular laser treatments for the effective redcution of lines and wrinkles which are the fractional laser and NLITE laser.
Skin Rejuvenation with the NLITE Laser
The NLITE Laser produces a pulse of light that penetrates into the blood vessels. This action stimulates your body’s own natural healing response enabling self generation of your own Collagen from beneath, gradually pushing wrinkles out. This can avoid the need for other more invasive therapies e.g. Collagen injections. Results with laser skin rejuvenation can vary and some clients may need more treatments than others to maintain wrinkle reduction. These are required only when really considered necessary with results typically lasting 12 months. All laser treatments will require a Laser Consultation prior to the treatment.
This treatment is very good at targeting specific areas of the skin so areas like the typical “Crows Feet” fine lines and wrinkles can be treated quite specifically. Unlike Ablative resurfacing there is no anaesthesia needed with Fractional laser for rejuvenation and very little down time. It is safer, more comfortable and has more flexibility of use. This special laser uses tiny columns of light to provide heat and subsequent production of your own natural collagen in the dermis. Over time and a few more treatments the appearance of those ageing fine lines and wrinkles reduce and the overall skin texture is improved.
Our skin therapists during your free consultation will advise on the appropriate treatment and the number of treatments required. If you wish to have the treatment a patch test will be performed for just £50 which is redeemable from your first treatment.
